Dear Baseball Families – Tobacco Valley Baseball League

The Simsbury Babe Ruth program is more than 50 years old and has had a strong history of strengthening and developing players from baseball age 13 to 16, both those who are looking to play in high school as well as those who are still playing because they love the game. Realizing that not every family is willing (or able) to afford a premium cost -- both money and time -- for their baseball experience.

This year 2022, we are planning on the same success with teams from Simsbury, West Hartford, Farmington, Avon and others. Games will be played against competitive teams, ages 13-16 and will be hosted on Farmington Valley (Tobacco Valley) fantastic baseball facilities.

Games commence tentatively, the weekend of 6/10 and will continue until around the third to fourth week of July. The cost for summer ball is $275.00.

The second season of the Tobacco Valley Baseball League boomed with 12 teams from surrounding towns with the Farmington Fireballs winning the Cup Series Championship and the Trojans winning the Pod Series Championship. Participating towns that fielded teams included Simsbury, West Hartford, Avon, Canton, Glastonbury and New Britain.

Towns that had players playing in the league included Simsbury, Granby, East Granby, West Hartford, Avon, Canton, Glastonbury, New Hartford and New Britain.
