Fall Ball is focused on the further development of baseball skills for the player. The season usually commences around Labor Day and finishes near the end of October, with a tournament.
Each team is scheduled with one weekday evening game and one Saturday game. Week day games rotate between Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays with an occasional extra Friday night game. Sundays are reserved for either practices or make up games. This results in approximately 12 regular season games then typically followed by a 2 week double elimination playoff.

Baseball Families,
WOW what a Great 2022 seasons we are having!!!
Our Spring Season was tremendous with over 80 players competing and playing over 20 games on 6 teams with the Raptors taking first place.
The second season of the Tobacco Valley Baseball League boomed with 12 teams from surrounding towns with the Farmington Fireballs winning the Cup Series Championship and the Trojans winning the Pod Series Championship. Participating towns that fielded teams included Simsbury, West Hartford, Avon, Canton, Glastonbury and New Britain.
Towns that had players playing in the league included Simsbury, Granby, East Granby, West Hartford, Avon, Canton, Glastonbury, New Hartford and New Britain.
Fall ball registration is now open and we invite all players from all surrounding towns within the ages of baseball 13 to baseball 16 with birthdates falling in the range of 5/01/2006 to 8/31/2010 to participate. Our fall program runs from late August through October and will include 2-3 games per week similar to our spring season. The regular fall season will conclude with playoffs in the last two weeks of October.

Players who are playing other sports are encouraged to play, as the philosophy of fall ball is developmental. The players will be evaluated and placed on teams per skill levels and we will also be considering the fact that players may also have other commitments.
Regarding older players we will always consider based on skill level and what program would benefit the player the most. However, for older players that do not fall into our age groups we are recommending:
The Simsbury American Legion program
As always all youth, organizations need assistance and volunteers to help community programs successful. If you can coach help out administratively or any other capacity you feel would benefit the baseball community please do not be shy.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you and we look forward to another fantastic season of baseball.
Sincerely,
Simsbury Babe Ruth Baseball Board of Directors
