Don't Miss the Simsbury Babe Ruth Simsbury Little League Night!
Join us for an unforgettable evening of fun, sportsmanship, and community spirit! We're hosting an exciting Simsbury Babe Ruth Baseball Night to invite all prospective players for the 2025 seasons (Spring, Summer, and Fall) to play baseball games on the big field up on Memorial Field Hill.
This is a great opportunity for players aging out of little league and for 13-16 year old players looking to play competitive ball on the big diamond with friends from the local area!
Date: Thursday, October 10, 2024
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Memorial Field (up on the hill)
Bring your family and friends to cheer on the teams, enjoy ballpark snacks, and celebrate local youth baseball! This is a perfect chance for players, families, and fans to connect, compete, and create lasting memories. Whether you're a seasoned player interested in what our local leagues have to offer or just love the game, this is a night you won’t want to miss!
While the kids play, the Simsbury Babe Ruth Board members and Coaches will be available to talk to you about the Simsbury Babe Ruth experience and answer any questions you may have!
Let’s show our love for the game and our community baseball programs – see you there!

Over fifty years ago, a group of men dedicated to the youth of America met in a suburb of Trenton, New Jersey, and formed what became the very first Babe Ruth League. This group of men eventually agreed to name Marius D. Bonacci as the “founder” of the program which was initially registered under the name Little Bigger League. The program was renamed in 1954 when Claire Ruth, Babe Ruth’s widow, who had learned of the merits of the organization and its tremendous growth, met with the administrators. She subsequently gave the organization permission to change its name to Babe Ruth League. She has been quoted as saying, “Babe Ruth was a man who loved children and baseball; he could receive no greater tribute than to have a youth baseball program named after him.”
